- Overview: The National Science Foundation (NSF) offers fellowships to students in the early stages of pursuing a research based Master's or Ph.D. degree. The Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) affords our nation's research leaders of tomorrow exceptional funding with 3 years of graduate support worth thousands of dollars.

- Overview: ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Foundation, Inc.is a unique, nonprofit, national volunteer organization of women dedicated to providing scholarships to academically outstanding U.S. citizens studying to complete their degrees in science, medicine and engineering, thereby contributing to the worldwide advancement of science and technology.

- Overview: Since the program began in 1998, it has supported 409 students at the University of California. Provides up to 5 years of funding for doctoral studies at any UC campus. Support includes payment of non-resident tuition and fees, a small stipend, and nominal support torwards health insurance. Students apply to UC campuses/departments and to CONAYCT

2014-2019: Jovani Catalan-Dibene
- Overview: Founded in 2014 by founding directors Dr. Thomas Poulos of the Departments of Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Douglas Tobias of the Department of Chemistry. The CSB Training Program, jointly funded by a T32 training grant from the National Institute of General Medicinal Sciences at the NIH and the UCI Graduate Division, provides fellowships to predoctoral graduate students who are in the fields of chemical or structural biology with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research. Fellows supported by the CSB Training Program receive in depth training and exposure to a number of different fields from world renowned experts at UC Irvine in the forms of collaborations, classes, journal clubs and more.
